Which Teams are the Favorites for the Tourney?
With March Madness officially here, it is team to figure out who the favorites are for the tourney. This season of college basketball has been a very surprised filled season. Nothing would surprise me more a sleeper to come out on top, but automatically you have to have several favorites swirling around in your head. Here is the favorites i would watch out for.
The easiest favorite to pick out is Duke. Even though they are two seed, I still the Blue Devils have to be the odds on favorite. Duke is the easiest one to pick out, because look at the roster the Blue devils are coming into with. Marvin Bagely and Wendell Carter are beasts down low, and Gary Trent and Grayson Allen can spread you out all over the floor. And to add it off with Trevon Duval one of the truest point guards Duke has had since Tyus Jones. That starting lineup is off the charts stupid good. With the Blue Devils depth a little concerning though, I still think Duke is the favorite for NCAA Tournament.
Next favorite for this tourney has to be Villanova. The Wildcats are a experienced group that is led by Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges who have been consistent and sound about every game those two have played in. With Omari Spellman and Donte DiVicenzo as a great role players for Villanova, this team is set up for a run just like the 2016 National Title team. Expect Villanova to have a deep run in the tourney.
The last of major 3 favorites for this tournament is Michigan State. This team on paper maybe a 3 seed, but in reality the Spartans are one of the best teams in the country. Their best player overall is Miles Bridges who built like forward, but absolutely has one of the best jump shots in the nation. To go along with Bridges is Jaren Jackson who is a extremely athletic big man who can step outside and shot the three. Also, Michigan State is a experienced team, with Joshua Langford, and Cassius Winston, this team is really really good. Watch Michigan State to be around a while in the Tourney.
There I think are the favorites for the NCAA Tournament. Even though those 3 are the favorites, I still would not be shocked to see a sleeper, or a Cinderella team make a deep run. The way this basketball season who knows what going to happen, but keep your eye Duke, Villanova, and Michigan State as the tourney rolls through.
