Is the Old Tiger Woods Back?
In the past 3 tournaments, there has been a sign that Tiger Woods is on the comeback, and some say he is already back. With a strong showing at the Honda Classic, and following that up with tie for second at the Valspar last week, and finally being in contention on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. In those tournaments more and more flashes are being shown.
The flashes are starting to happen on a more consistent bases. If with the short game making the hard chips look to easy, and more surprisingly the club head is back. Tiger has registered club head almost 130 mph, which would the tour every year since 2007. All of this has got the fans and media excited, and has actually led to Tiger already being the favorite for the Masters.
This man has not won a tournament since 2013 at the Bridgestone, and he is already a favorite for the first major of the year. It hard to believe that this man has not won in nearly 5 years is the favorite for masters, but this how it is with Tiger Woods. When Tiger is on, no one can really play with him, but he is still trying to get it all back. He has not played a schedule like this in 5 years, and still shows here and there but after each tournament it keeps coming back to him more and more. This Tiger starting show is presence again.
With the Arnold Palmer Invitational being his last before Augusta, expect Tiger to grind and getting ready for Augusta. With this break, and not winning Augusta in 13 years, and not winning a major in 10 years, expect Tiger to come out for the kill against the field against. Augusta will be his final test to see if his really back or not.
